Janet Jackson is planning a pilgrimage to the Irish beauty spots her brother Michael loved.

The pop star will play her first live concert here next month when she performs at the Grand Canal Theatre in Dublin.

And she is keen to re-connect with Michael’s memory by visiting the places he lived during a six-month stay in Ireland in the aftermath of the child abuse trial in 2003.

Janet, 45, has asked organisers of her show to take her to see where Michael lived in Cork and Dublin during his stay with his children Paris, Prince and Blanket. A source revealed: “Janet knows how much Michael loved Ireland.

“He told her it was one of his favourite places in the world. Now she wants to see for herself why it was so special to him.

“She’s planning to visit the estate he lived at in Cork and a few of the places he hung out in Dublin.”
